I got mugged-ish! WOOHOO?
Well I got jumped. Before you ask, I'm fine.
Two guys tried to get me when I was almost at the place I'm staying at in Chatsworth. They smacked me on the face with a gun, but it didn't hurt like I'd expect. So they kept waving it at me, telling me to give them money. I don't know about any of you, but I don't really back down to threats. Whiiiich has injured me a bit, let me tell you. Anyway I'm not moving at all, just standing there and the dude without a gun socks me in the gut. So I lift up my flippers (HAHAHAHA!) and get ready to fight and the guy waves his gun still. I get punched by the other guy a little, trying to look at the gun better, thinking it's fake because getting smacked by it didn't hurt or leave blood. So I just hop over and smack the gun out of the dude's hands and instead of hearing a thud or anything that sounds like a real pistol dropping, I hear a clink sort of noise. As if it were entirely plastic. Before you ask, no it was not a glock. I got pretty mad and hit them both and they hit me a little. Those boxing lessons paid off! It also helped that when you have some fighting experience you can look at your foe's eyes and kind of see how into it they are. These two really weren't. They seemed more scared than anything. So now those two ran with the gun, not taking anything from me but just bruising my face.
Since I "suffer" from a certain mood disorder, although it wasn't a big deal, I'm pretty mad about it now. I kind of wanted to choke them until they stopped kicking at the time. Buuut I knew that wouldn't do anything worthwhile.
Anyway, I guess my knowledge saved my butt. .3.
I did check the gun out when they ran away because they left it. No fingerprints are left on it from me, and I noticed it was fake. This is mostly due to having a dad who worked for a gun company and many relatives who are in the law and/or military who have fake and real guns. That is where I think I really lucked out, because I could have probably taken the beating and lost my ID and whatever else they wanted to take if I didn't.

Glad you're ok and sorry to hear you got roughed up a little, but it could've been worse. You should take the gun to the police so they can get prints off of it. Even though they didn't do much to you, if they should happen to hurt someone else or commit some other crime, having their prints on file can help expedite their capture.
