So. I have 2 friends who both know I'm a fur, and usually they dis me for it. But as bad as it sounds, I'm trying to get them to see the point of how we aren't messed up. One of my friends is a complete asshole, so no matter what I say, he's going to dis on me just because he feels like it... However I have another friend, this friend of mine is a nice guy who does have interests in things like art, music, and writing, basically what this entire community is made of. The thing is, he likes some sort of anthro things, like werewolves posing and being badass, however his reason for not being a fur is because its to "cute" for him... He's saying that he wont join because he doesn't take us too seriously than he should, and just plain puts out that he's not meant to be a fur. Now what really bothers me, is that he is a great guy who is honest and will try a lot of things, but because of the media and stuff like artist who kinda make it weird for other people. I try to spread my point, but first said friend who is an asshole says that me trying to spread my point is doing what people expect and trying to him one of us, like Jehovah witnesses coming door-to-door trying to spread religion. I tried to bring out the point of what we actually are, but since I'm so fucking great in social situations, I never spread the point across. I'm not really trying to make him one of us, if he doesn't like anthros, then that's not up to me, but what I'm trying to do is make a point. We aren't just "cute", we're not just about fetishes and stuff like that, we can be just as amazing and epic as anything else. It really got me last night because they continued to dis me about it. I'm just trying to think of how to spread the point around...
