Fur The More, April Furbowl and more...

So a bit behind, but just a bit of an update
We went to Fur The More, and is was a much needed break for me and mine. My friends around us locally know that my spinal injuries have been unpleasant and painful, and since I now have to fight with my insurance over them approving treatment (seems that because the injuries resulted from an assault they are now balking at treating me and saying that the person who caused them should have insurance covering the costs..gotta love how Obamacare is gonna mess with many of us). The constant pain makes it hard now for me to do many things I would otherwise love to be doing. ANYWAYS..WhiteLion and I told Skippy we would help out at Fur The More, and it turns out we got to spend a lot of time with Turtyl and Kiric, as well as Skippy and Kittrel at registration. In a way that was good because I got to meet a lot of people in person, got to talk to people as they wandered by,got to hang out a bit with Obsidian (thanks so much for the scratch art..I am gonna make a nice badge of it!!) and got to work on the new ears for my head that I just never had time for, Also was great to get to visit with Nonsanity and his daughter and have her and our little one Sparkles get to really enjoy the con with her friend. Of course the other was mastering Smash brothers in the game room One thing I noticed from being at the registration desk especially on Saturday is that there were a number of young furry fans who managed to convince their parents to bring them, despite their parents being leery of all things furry. In a way, having me and WhiteLion and our younguns there at registration seemed to put a few of these parents at ease. I really hope that since there are some pretty strict rules/laws in maryland , that maybe this con may turn out to be a lot more youngster/family friendly because i think that would surely help out a lot of those of us with kids and also would make the younger fans have less issues with their parents. Being a "furry" should not be any different than being a trekkie or a MLP fan or anything else. So to Kit and Razor and the crew..Whitelion adn I will be happy to be on staff and help out, maybe we can help with that part of things since we have to live with it all the time.
Looking forward to 2014 for sure!!!
This past Saturday was our March EFM Bowling..awesome as always and HAPPY BDAY for Ryuu. One thing we started talking about was Furnanza for this year. We are thinking either June or later in July and are going to soon be picking our charity for the event. This is a smaller event, but still fun. Watch the EFM pages for upcoming news about it!!
And last but not least, I am looking forward to AC as my dear friend Hans is finally getting to retire after many dedicated years of service in the Army. They managed to not kill him off after he last tour in Afghanistan, so he deserves to finally be set free from his noble service. So hopefully we will get to have a grand time there since that silly wolf is gonna move westward and we wont get to see him for a while. And I get to see his new suit..which means we gotta get some good photos for him!!

one thing i would like to do with the fursuit track next year is have more activities for the kids. i know nonsanity's daughter and sparkle participated in the chimera challenge, i wonder if we could do a kids' fursuit building panel, where they could make some small fursuit piece?
Sparkle has had several tails and hats and ears.
She has a set of little handpaws now but she so much wants a partial suit like nnonsanity's little one has.
We are gonna see what we can come up with
I know there are ways to make more adjustable suits and heads
ALso, I know my daughter loves making badges. She has made them for her friends at school. I know a lot of the kids like playing animal characters in games and such.
I really hope that Fur The More can have some kid friendly stuff and maybe show how this IS compatible in a con.
