I'd suggest opening up and advertising for commissions, possibly hosting a contest? Like.. don't take it as an exact rule, but perhaps post a journal that you're offering up one free full color piece, to be randomly drawn at ____ date, and to enter, you have to post another journal advertising it.. but for every person you point out that GETS a commission at your special discounted rates that are good until the drawing, they get an extra entry into the drawing, or possibly a free headshot sketch as referral?
