leoni2 I checked out the following video:
Wonder Women - The Untold Story of American Superheroines

Not to give away a bunch - it covers the trend of heroic female characters in media - both print and video - over the years.
Several things in there that I didn't know... and some inspiration as well. Definitely worth a watch, just to learn some of the history if nothing else.
