...I hate them.
That's one of the most worryingly popular fetishes I've seen. In furry fiction, instead of a guy getting a boner when looking at a hunk he's into, now he's just as likely to orgasm through his nose. I've begun seeing this in such disparate places that it worries me. I have enough problems with bloodletting to begin with (last time I had to give blood for medical reasons, I threw up), but what I don't understand is why this is so popular to begin with? I can safely say I've had quite a few boners, and I don't ever remember having to clog my nose with tissues. I know this started out as a little joke, but enough is enough.
What's wrong with an old-fashioned boner, huh? Everybody can relate to that. Or if it has to be liquid coming out of your head, how about saliva? Both are tried and tested ways to tell if a guy wants to bone you.
So the moral of this story is; make boner, not blood.

It's sort of an anime thing I think. It's just hilarious because the idea is you get so turned on that you can't react to it properly and the blood in your boner goes right through your nose instead.

More relevant gags, like drooling, breaking into sweat or even just going stiff all over. I had to google the nosebleed thing to even understand it.

It's meant to be a visual metaphor, not literal. :) Like stars flying around your head when something hits you. I can see how it might bother someone with a phobia of blood, though.

To me it's just such an opposite of what it's meant to portray. When I first saw it, the first thing I thought the character was just in a state of shock - not in the least of a sexual nature. If we're talking visual metaphors about attraction, I don't think most of us actually drool but I would much prefer to see that. The nosebleed thing is just a stupid little inside joke that's become way too popular for its own good. As I said, I hate it, and more for the fact that you can have much more relevant visual gags that don't take you out of the story.
