Re-CODA personal take
These days pass by so peacefully,
and so they will continue on.
It's now for the first time I see
that this can be happiness.

I had this really odd dream last night/this morning, and I don't remember all of it.
It started out okay. I was on a bus headed to a movie theater sometime in the afternoon. There was some sort of event that I was attending and I was all excited to be going. It was pretty packed by the time I got there, but I had no problem getting a ticket to the thing I was going to. When I actually do get there, the room doesn't look like a theater as it does a school auditorium with basketball stands set up on all sides. In the center was a man with carrying a microphone around, sometimes saying something to the ushers who were seating everybody.
I remember that I ended up sitting next to one of my old high school classmates and talking to him for a little bit. The show starts and it's a sort of reunion thing for either my school or college, but I forget the details of it.
When it ends, the man announces that the attendants will be led out by the ushers to help move things along, one row at a time. When it comes to the row I'm in, we all get up and I follow my classmate ahead of me. Somehow the lines get mixed up, and I end up following another line out. It was already getting dark outside, and I swear the clocks read it was past midnight. At least past 10 PM for sure. I check the bus schedule I had, and there was one last bus coming in about half an hour, so I head to the restroom first. Not at all eventful, but I did wonder why it seemed jammed together with a locker room.
Getting to the exit was a little freaky. Somehow the entire floorplan had changed and the lights were dimming a bit. I started walking fast through the hallways trying to figure out where to go and which door to take. Other people were around, but were either the staff busy with something or random people talking and walking unconcerned. I went through like six doors, some of which went through twisting hallways, some which had stairways behind them, and some that were labeled office doors.
When I get through them, I ended up at what looks like the back, where there's a concession stand nearby and double doors leading out. The clocks say I took about 15 minutes to get there, but I was still kind of panicking when this girl runs up to me. She was going on the same bus and asked if I knew the bus was there yet. It wasn't, so we headed out to wait.
The bus that comes turns out to be really fancy. It was one I remembered riding on a fourth grade field trip to an aquarium, where it had big comfy seats and tv sets for showing movies. The movie we all watched is probably the most oddest thing of my dream. It was an animated film where somehow or other, a lion cub from a zoo gets turned into a human boy with no memories.
Details here get fuzzy. He goes to an elementary school, he plays and is generally happy. One day a news story in the newspaper mentions that the lions in the zoo are getting mysteriously sick. This gets talked about in his class, and it stirs up strange memories in him. Next thing I know, the boy goes downtown to some kooky toyshop with a rumored wish granting shopkeeper. The boy is told that the lions would be cured, if he trades in something precious to him and stays for a while.
Next scene, the boy has been turned into a doll of a lion cub, alive like the ones in Toy Story. He's set with some other living toys, when the camera pans around to show all the stuff the boy left behind: school projects, some drawings, some okay test scores, and a drawing right out of The Lion King. The boy remembers nothing (again), when another kid comes in. She is offered the same deal, and the last scene I remember shows a screen like an arcade game's "Continue?" screen, timer winding down with the question "Will you cancel before the deal is final?" while the toys are laughing and dancing.

Most of the dreams I remember involve murder mysteries or mathematics, for some reason. >.>
It makes for an interesting story, though. Some of my best fanfic ideas developed out of some of my dreams, actually.
