I would like to say, before I begin my first official vent rant, that this is, in no fashion, directed at anyone here, and I am not mad at anyone, unless you happened to be the person I just talked to. In which case, yes, I am angry with you.
Let it also be known that I comprehend the fact that I instigated the argument. This topic specifically, I feel, needs to be talked about.

I'm sorry, but the concept of hell angers me so much, alright? It's practically my prime dislike of the JudeoChristian religions. I mean, just, the whole idea of "IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ME AND MY BELIEFS YOU DESERVE TO BE TORTURED FOREVER", coming from an alleged peaceful religion makes me so (irrationally, really) fucking angry that any group of people would take this as truth. It's cruel and stupid, and I just can't stand it, alright?
Feel free to rate me on my shitty debate and social skills. I need to punch something.

I really hate to rant about things like these because I really don't wanna offend any of my friends who're religious, but I really just needed to get this out.
But l've only checked one site, so we'll see
"hell", in whatever form (or lack therof) you may believe in, is supposed to be the punishment for people who do absolutely horrible things in this life, according to the bible. it never mentions anything about disagreeing with beliefs as a justification for any form of punishment.
jesus specifically said to love one another as i have loved you (john 13:34-35), so therefore, i dont think its fair for ANYBODY to say that somebody else deserves to go to hell, because as such a terrible place by definition, it certainly wouldn't be "love" towards another person if you tell them they belong there.
perhaps if so-called followers of christ who think its appropriate to hate others for whatever reason they deem fit actually followed christ, we wouldnt have such a problem.
but of course, i think we are destined to live in a world where people take whichever sections of the bible agree with them for a certain perspective and completely disregard the rest of the book or context of it.
