It will happen to all of us, that at some point you get tapped on the shoulder and told, not just that the party’s over, but slightly worse: the party’s going on — but you have to leave. And it’s going on without you. That’s the reflection that I think most upsets people about their demise.
... because if there were anything like an 'afterlife', you would be 'alive' there, therefore: no enjoying while being dead, it's an either-or-scenario.
... but it might depend on the way you die: gruesome, excruciatingly painful death -> being done with it might actually be more 'enjoyable' if there were anything left to enjoy.
... since .. .. .. why are we actually thinking about this? I'm totally with you, The_Otsoko! (also: am I sensing a hint of Death Pratchett-style? ;3)
Depends on how you think the after life (if any) would go. If we do in fact have a soul that lives on after death... then death of this life probably wont solve anything.. and who knows what waits on the other side.. Now if we just die and that is just the end of us... well.. at that point we are merely gone, and nothing can be enjoyed if one does not exist.
*Crinkles up a little dazzed* Huh what just happened?...*Looks at crinkle mound* Oh right these were yours, well I guess I will just roal around in them and frolic until you come out then >.>
*I look at me and see I am somehow got put into one as I look at you and grab one* Now its your turn *I say giggling and crinklepounce and roll and somehow manage to get one on you*

But what if live is just a fake? That we're nothing more then some data in our brains..
I do recommend you to not think too much about the afterlife and dead. It not good for you, I speak from experience
