Update 4/22 (still struggling and major commission changes)

General
Well, financially I am still underwater. I am starting to feel indifferent about everything probably because I cannot fulfill my obligations and I really don't feel like I am moving forward in life, more like backwards. Frankly, I need a new job because warehouse work and slow work freelancing doesn't cut it right now. I am going to be working on typography and visual communication in order to become a graphic designer. There are lots of jobs for that.
Other than financially, I am doing better than I did in February, but not as well as in this time last year. Someone found me and really, really wants me to develop a comic. I have been mulling over this because that market is saturated, and unless you got something that stands out, there's not much cash in that. I do not think that many if any of these characters I make will make an impact without any comparisons so, I am making new ones in the meantime of making my decision.
There are a lot of things I am trying to make a decision for, my father wants me to succeed him and my uncle in the engineering part of his family's business, I am trying to start my own business, people want to start business with me or want a $60 drawing from me, all kinds of stuff to distract me from thinking why the hell am I not having a better start to post-graduate life.
Speaking of $60 commissions, Starting May 1, I will be introducing a simple rate structure for commissions. Everything will be counted on a rate of $17.50 US / hour. So the things that you usually see from me, commission like that would then be in the range of $50 to $90. Still it would be about half my price for business needs if you want to compare rates.
