St Georges Day
It's St Georges Day. He was the patron saint of England. So do we celebrate? We sort of shrug, wave a flag a bit, and once again point out he wasn't of this country, never came to this country, and generally had bugger all to do with this country.
Which is true. He didn't. Also, the words of our patriotic hymn, Jerusalem, repeatedly ask if Jesus visited England at some point between all the cripple healing and mass catering. Like fuck he did. The words to Jerusalem were written as a satirical poem!
But then I take notice of the sentiments of Jerusalem. I don't intend to literally build Jerusalem here, but I do my best to build this country, to make it better, the best it can be.
So here's to England. You have supported, nurtured and provided me with much to be grateful for. Including this fucking silly surname, i mean really

FA+

But I'm British. Always will be. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Still, here's to England.
