You ever tell someone a joke, get to the punchline and they say, "I don't get it?" Then you try to explain it, the joke now way beyond it's expiration date, and get a resounding, "I still don't get it." And then in retrospect, you start to realize the way you told it, it really doesn't make sense?

Yeah just pitched one hell of a non-sequitur at just now. It wasn't even a joke, just a thought. I shared it with the class, I think I confused him, and embarrassed myself in one fell swoop. I'm sorry, Duncan. I wasn't trying to be deliberately confusing. And I think I'll just mosey along now.
