I am aware of May The Fourth Be with you. :) It just strikes me that with May 4th, May 25th and Doctor Who's 50th anniversary this year, there's no global nerdy celebration of Star Trek, aside from the movie. Trekkie's (and Whovians) need an annual holiday.

Well I don't know if trekkies treat it like some national holiday or anything, but, they should!

Well I'd say yesterday. They showed The Best of Both Worlds Theatrical version in theatres.

Yeah it's being released on Blu-ray tuesday. New CGI, special featurettes all the bells ans whistles.

True, so technically it is Trek Day! Right now! But it would be fun to go to work and catch people in little red Uhura dresses, y'know? More than a personal celebration, a group celebration.
