Some of you may know that my sister works for the American Cancer Society and is mainly in charge of running the relay for life in our area. For those of you who don't know what the relay for life is here is their website: http://www.relayforlife.org/

The relay for life is a fundraising event held every year for a few days to raise money for cancer research, cancer fighters, and survivors. This is a nationwide event that happens all across America; in schools, in churches, even in prisons! So why not in the furry fandom? I lost my grandfather and grandmother to cancer as well as a few friends. I'm sure all of you know someone you have lost to this terrible disease. The $$$ raised by relay has helped people fight cancer all across the world.

So I am starting a fur group for relay fur life. I know the page is blank and I will be trying to make it grow over the course of the next few months. It is a little late to start now since relay is coming up here very soon, but I hope to make it grow to a large group with numerous supporters all in the fight against cancer. So please pass the word around and help me gain some supporters! I plan on hosting furmeets and events furry oriented in the future and at cons if permissed.
