Why I'm here today, gone tomorrow, and back again later.
Not that I don't think most of my watchers don't already know this, but the reason for my sporadic activity within the art community is the result of several different factors.
The first and most important reason for this is because I have a relatively long list of personal interests that I like to take part in, and I cycle through those interests as the mood strikes. For example, at this particular time, I feel more like knitting and reading than I do drawing. That could change at any moment, really. So far as I know, in another hour from now, I may suddenly feel an urgent need to draw and won't pick up a book or a pair of knitting needles for weeks while my interest in drawing runs its course. Or, perhaps, I won't feel like drawing anything for months yet. I don't force myself to draw when I don't feel the motivation for it because I almost certainly turn out a poor quality piece of work I am in no way happy with. I let everything come as it will, and enjoy the activity while I'm in the mood for it.
The second reason is naturally my personal life. I usually come online when my son is either happily playing by himself and doesn't need or want any interaction from me, or when he's sleeping. The frequency in which I come online also depends on my mood, just like with the activities I always cycle through. Sometimes, I'm just not interested in spending my time online when I could be, instead, reading a book or knitting or drawing or whatever. That said, I do frequent Facebook a decent amount because I can easily access it via my smartphone. I can check my messages or respond to someone on FB easily without putting down any work I'm doing for more than a moment or two. Other online activity, however, is scarce these days.
There are other little bits and pieces as to why my activity comes and goes such as it does, but they're not as important as the two I've mentioned here.
I mostly wrote this to show that I do come around FA from time to time to check up on things, but I'm never usually here more than a minute or two at present. I always get around to commenting on and favoriting artwork in my inbox, so you're bound to hear from me at some point. It just might be a couple months after you posted. I hope no one feels offended by that...

I totally understand. Life happens (and life is more important than "virtual life")...so, I know I welcome hearing from you or seeing art whenever you come back here.

:D I totally get it, and also, I'm very happy for you. It's hard for a lot of people to realize what their priorities in life are and then stick to them.. people who do so tend to be much more happy, satisfied, and content with their lives.
