I do like history. Mostly old architecture and artifacts.
I like reading about events that have happened from perspectives that were differing from whats commonly thought of today.

Mmm, quite correct, yes. One of my favorite colors is grey, the other being blue...although I am partial to green, at least for scenery. I don't know if I like sushi, since I've never actually eaten any, but the thought of uncooked fish is a bit...unsettling. That doesn't mean I won't ever try it, just that I wouldn't go out to a place and get some by myself, because I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that I wouldn't eat...and I don't even know the terminology. I don't want them to be all "STFU, n00b".

I do try to comment on what people post, yush, just as I enjoy getting comments in return. I do hope to have more historical things in the near future, just busy right now with a wedding and whatnot. And yes, I have posted this in my own journal.

I think the thing about sushi, is that everyone thinks it's ONLY uncooked fish, but this is not so. "Sushi" is just the term for the type of food, sort of like how how "cat" defines felines, but there are many types of cats. There is actually three kinds of sushi: sashimi, which *is* just a slice of raw fish; nigiri, which is a slice of fish with rice and wasabi, sometimes with a band of seaweed to hold it together; and maki, which is a roll of several ingredients in the center, surrounded by rice and covered with seaweed. Sashimi and nigiri really aren't that bad. I don't like cooked fish, but I still tried them, and was surprised to learn that they really don't have much flavor. It's all very bland, and comes down to texture more than flavor. For instance, octopus is very chewy, but salmon is very soft, almost like jello. Maki is my favorite, because it has FLAVOR. :3 Many things can be mixed in the center, usually a mix of some type of fish and vegetables, though some types have no fish at all. So far, I think I've come across only one type of maki that I do not like. :3 Admittedly, I probably won't have sashimi or nigiri again, simply because it's too boring. :P

I just had fish sticks for dinner, so I suppose that says something about me. The sashimi and nigiri might be something I'd try, considering my own blandness...a picky kitty, yes, but not a very fancy one. Could be something to look into, yes. Under other circumstances, perhaps we could even go try some, heh.
