For the record, I did not delete my journal.
it was pulled by the admins.
I was unclear if I was able to post the note I had received from the admin, so to play it safe, I went ahead and just posted what I said in return.
"I disagree. I feel that this was no longer, or ever a personal issue, but a public issue. I made no link directly to any FA user. This was a journal found outside of the site entirely. As it had already been removed before my initial journal had even been posted. Please check the time stamp. And the source material.
I also did not harass anyone. I factually corrected a major rumor that had clearly had incongruities with logic, and science. Mine was not a volatile issue, it was a debunking of a very volatile issue, presented in a logical, well thought out manner. I in no way encouraged anyone to harass another user, in fact, I did the opposite. i advocated that the user be left alone on several occasions. I also went out of my way to encouraging that the user in question be allowed to speak. As basic human rights allow people you disagree with to speak.
The journal "...I do screen cap" was specifically aimed to discourage users from harassing an unnamed user.
I would like further evaluation, as I feel I in no way I had broken the terms of service, or COC within the narrow definition you have presented me.
I respect the duty of administration, however, at this time I feel that this issue was rushed without full regard to facts.

I do not plan to go quietly into that good night.
Though I do wholly believe I did not violate the COC in my initial journal, I will re-post my thoughts, and findings in anyway I can. No matter how many linguistic gymnastics I have to pull off.
If someone would be so kind as to link me the tumbler where my journal was posted, that would also be appreciated.

While I was quite saddened by individuals being targeted for simply stating their views (I felt a bit harassed myself despite actually being in AGREEMENT with those individuals), its the nature of the beast.
I hope they put your journal back up. There's nothing wrong with a healthy debate.
This case I simply felt I did not break the rules.
Now that the admins are getting involved it draws concern.

I am talking to admins now, a revised version should be up by morning.
It'll be interesting to see what happens next, if anything.
Well-established fursuit maker debunks said kink-shaming campaign without directly targetting or harassing those involved ... journal taken down.
There's something PAINFULLY skewed about the letter of the law, here. =/
......But to be honest I didn't know who it was. And since Jeff didn't list them I wouldn't even know where to find them. I didn't even know about the situation before he posted a journal debunking it!!
Fa admins are just.....ugh..
I often here a lot of admins around here tossing about the phrase "being an FA admin is a thankless job". The real phrase should be "being a GOOD FA admin is an impossible job". The system that's currently in place (and the way said system is enforced) strictly prohibits the ability to be totally and completely just (unless by some miracle what they're willing to do -is- all that's required to see justice done--if any extra effort of any unorthodox procedures are required, justice falls by the wayside).
I'd go nuts having to fight an uphill battle like that just to be able to do right by this community, LOL.
If the object in question was a toilet seat, not a murrsuit, there would be no removal, indeed no argument at all; evidently a moral-nerve was touched, which is surprising given the trivialty of the actual claims and obviousness of their falsehood.
The kind of claims being propogated really were in the same vein as suggesting people can get pregnant from using someone else's bath water, and that fashion of naive claim should be debunked no matter who the proponents are.
(there is a reason why I don't really use FA anymore, and that is the outright braindead administration. I've found SoFurry.com has a much nicer atmosphere and less jerks in power.)

Deleting anything and everything just to keep a few from complaining even if it wasn't in direct violation. This has happened to me and so many others. This....silencing. It's starting to really annoy me.
