I had heard about this not too long ago. Evidently people can apparently be arrested by police for literally anything, and be held in prison for up to 2 weeks. Also, the police can just make up crimes that never happened and you can go to jail without any evidence at all. Malaysian prisons are also very bad from what I've heard.

If there's anything I can do, let me know. As far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be a whole lot that can be done.

Where if they don't like you- heck- even if they don't like your face- BAM- you go in there, and they can prolong your sentence for an undefinite period of time, up to your whole life, even.

Actually the ISA is a good thing, as its where all the suspected terrorists go so our country is safe.
But the problem is that they've been using it unwisely.

Unfortuately, There are situations where violence is necessary. Just as violence doesn't solve every problem, neither does peaceful resistance. Extremism towards either side is foolish.

As for legality, considering your government is corrupt as it is, i would personally say your laws are invalid. As the saying goes, "The government calls its violence law, and titles the peoples' violence crime."

The best thing you can do is organize your community and get people in the know. I understand you are afriad of being arrested but the government is actually afraid of the people and whether or not they will rise up. I suggest this. DO NOT START A REVOLUTION. the arab spring had its good sides and its bad sides but the whole damn thing is unpredictable. I suggest though trying to figure out the best way to organize your community without seeming like a threat to the government while trying to advance people's interests. It was rigged in the most obvious and retarded ways..
Firstly, our government sent out Malaysian Airlines to fly in 300,000+ Bangladeshis in within 3 days, gave them all fake Malaysian citizenships, and paid those poor, starving bastards money as a bribe that they would vote for their party.

Secondly, there was a forced blackout at the night of the elections, government shut down phone services and even power supplies, cutting off all TV broadcasts of the election results. During the darkness, people spotted cars filled with bags and ballot boxes, filled to the brim with 'fake' votes. Some people crowded around to stop them, but the police forced them off. When the power came back on, the broadcasts brought the new results, that the government party was suddenly winning by the majority..

Its complete bullshit. 56 years under the SAME government party winning over and over. People are getting restless, our Prime minister even blamed us Chinese for overwhelmingly voting for opposition parties during a speech. Things are gonna get shitty and probably violent.

I understand that but think about how you can fix your nation without the government becoming involved. For one thign, educate children in every community you can. This will sway the election in ten years time, and i know ten years is a long time but the amount of change that can happen is crazy. Next, teach tolerance for everyone no matter who they are. Unless that person is out to harm others, then be tolerant of everyone. Another thing you can do is reach out to other nations for help, it's like the hunger games or something or other *watched it recently*. Basically you want people to understand what is going on while also telling them how they can change the way the world works and looks. It also depends on what you mean by Islamic law? Is it Shiite or Sunni? There is a main difference between the two and it appears the shiite tend to be a bit... odd with how things are run. No offense to you or your nation or even Islam in general. I apologize for sounding rude. The best thing I can honestly say to do is get the community involved and get people in the know. Impact the country like it hasnt been impacted in years and gain the look of the world. More importantly get the nations around you interested in what is going on for you. And bacon??? Thats the least of your worries. Through the power of many people compared to a few, you can change the world, but please... please dont kill anyone or hurt anyone. You will damage your message that way.

Yep. Well the majority protested, but then when everyone from the govt is allied against the other group, preventing them from winning, not sure what they could do.

They even prevented the opposition from going into the main parliament building when voting was held, it's the first time in history this has happened. Normally both parties should be there to oversee the election.

Sad thing is: all countries are like this, but most know that the people are armed and ready to fight for their freedom, including any of the military forces within to defend the country's true rights. With me becoming a soldier somewhere in the (very) near future, I can only say this:

The way the the corrupt gain power is by stealing from the true rulers and silencing them afterwards, making the people become weak and afraid. What is needed is someone to lead ALL the people into a nonviolent battle to purge to injustice from the country. Rise up, and make your own freedom.

Not only that, the army, the newspapers, the police, all belong to the govt, with only a tiny fraction still having their own mind about what is right and wrong. That's what we're trying to do right now, but it isn't looking too good. The local newspaper (owned by the govt) is currently trying to make races fight against each other by putting out untruths and lies.

Make your own 'paper and spread it by word of mouth that it's ONLY for the people. Resist any way you can WITHOUT making a large ripple right away.

Making an own paper would probably attract the govt faster than spreading it through Facebook.
