Apparently I Broke my Foot...

General
Just over a month ago I wrecked my ruckus taking the most challenging road around.
I ended up leaning too far, and long story short, scooters are not sport bikes lol.
Both my knees and right foot were hurting pretty bad for the first 2 week, but I figured if I could still walk I must be fine... WRONG!
(I've only broken my nose and teeth before from a faulty helmet bmx racing)
A month later my foot still hurt a little and got worse during and after running.
So I went to the doctor, and he said I had pulled ligaments, strained muscles, and a fracture.
every time I ran on it, I re-injured myself, the break healed by itself partially, but hasn't had the time to heal completely.
I'm guessing when I slid (lowside) my shoe caught the asphalt turning me face down (not what I was trying to do), smacked my face on the ground, and then rolled to my back to slide across the road (I call it the crab slide, safest way to crash).
In the end the bike was ok (minus one mirror and hand grip), injuries heal, but my levis, wallet, and gloves have seen better days.
Eventually I want a sport bike, R6 or 600rr (250rr would be awesome if I could find one),
but I needed a way to save money for photography supplies, and $10+ a day in gas just driving to work and back was killing me.
I really wanted to start early this year to get my mile under 6 minutes, but it looks like that may have to wait, maybe just stick to the road bicycle.
moral of the story? casts are for panzies...
