Hello all,
Me and my mate have been hard at work to work towards launching my own business and brand name. I have been working hard learning in a business class from none other than Joe Murray, and he has been a great help to me after me now taking a third class with him.
Shottsy Arts is going to be my new company and brand that is now just budding, and we hope it to be big in the near future. I am multi-talented and therefor we are going to have many different branches of my different kinds of art and products!
Shottsy Arts-Twisted Tails- is mainly themed for my wire sculptures that I create and sell! We have been to 3 conventions so far selling them, and have 3 more upcoming, and lots more in the future. If you want to know and see more of our fine wire sculptures please check them out here:

And please like us on FB: https://www.facebook.com/ShottsyArts
We will be taking commissions of these in the future, but for now we are stocking for conventions. However, if we do still have some of these shown, and some not shown in stock that are for sale, so feel free to inquire if interested in one. Just be aware that they are solid all the way through, are pretty compact and heavy, and completely made out of 100% jewelry wire, so they are pricey.
We are also now also selling buttons https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?.....=1&theater
(soon we will also be adding magnets and keychains)- of my own styled work of fanart, my own characters, as well as custom buttons of your own characters, if you catch us at a con! In the future we will be available to buy these online as well, but for now we are making the con circuit which you can keep up to date with on our FB.
We have not thought of a "branch" name yet, but I will also still be taking digital commissions as well from the furry fandom and other. For the "fat fur art" I don't want it associated with a bunch of our other branches so I am not sure what we will be calling it yet, or if it will ever branch off of this site, (most likely not) but we may call it Majestic Strawberry- funny fat things. In honor of that goofy pic of Strawberry the dragon flying.
I am also still working on some animation, character designing, and my story that I hope to be a feature someday, that I may turn into a novel first.
We are also thinking of some merchandising, and toy design at LEAST for Waffles. I have already gotten a quote on a plush of him, that Joe is actually quite interested in, and wants to know if I will have made. That mainly depends on how much interest he garnishes. I will be happy to submit the prototype design soon!
I have been working hard on old backlog commissions and making some good progress on them.
I am trying to transition into doing my art full time and hopefully making a living off of It.
What does this mean for all of you?
As soon as I get through my last commissions I have to finish, and we get everything set and organized, I am planning to open up for large scale commissions again in addition to my livestreaming (which I will be doing more regularly).
I have finally hit a wall, and realized I just cant deal with being at my job much longer. I have been there 3 years, and it was great to have something that I could sort of work on my own work at the same time, and was laid back. It started out that way, but it is just hell now. It is also a horrible idea to ever work for family. I am at a crossroads, and art is my passion, what I went to school for, and hopefully with Joe's help I can get my goals mapped out and start on the road to success.
We could use your support! We could use your promotion, your patronage, and your loyalty which many of you have already given! I will need to start getting regular commissions to pay the bills, so please do help us get more notice, tell your friends, tell everyone! If they want high quality professional art of many kinds, to check us out! This is all a test to see how much interest we can get and whether or not we can garnish enough interest to sustain ourselves on our art alone! I am ready to chase my dream, and so far I have you guys to thank, and we hope we can make this happen! I have one year to get things up, running, and growing enough to support myself. My father has let me know that he will no longer be helping me by my next birthday, so I am jumping the gun and trying to get started.
Help our business grow! Each and every one of you is important to us!
Our prices will be reevaluated based on the illustration market, our credentials, and what our art is worth. There will still be some specials here and there, and some things will be the same price at least during livestreams, but not everything. TRUST US THOUGH, (as many of my regulars already know;) You get what you pay for! I have now had 3 classes going on 4 with Emmy Award winner Joe Murray who has created Rocko's Modern Life, I have a Bachelors in Fine Art, with a major in animation, We are quick, Diligent, and professional with our work, yet we take the time to make it the best we can! Our art is unique, with a distinctive "Shottsy" Style.
***I CAN draw in other styles, and for certain things am willing to here and there, but after one of my conferences with Joe, he explained how drawing in different styles can dilute my brand name, and the distinctive "Shottsy" style so we may be doing less of that, and more of my style. (unless called for for something like Gorbash fanart to be in that style for a commission or something just for FA)
