Watching the world's development over the last 30 years is rather depressing ain't it? Brazil looks like its being devoured by some flesh eating bacteria. Well... guess you could say it is.
Although it is kinda neat to see old claims proven wrong, like with the expansion of the Sahara desert. From those images in that timelapse, it looks like the desert is actually getting smaller. Albeit, very, very slowly. The edges are greenin' up.
I also like how when watching parts of Canada, I see large swaths of forest get carved out into cityscapes, only to fade away back into the forest greeness a few years later. It just regenerates and takes that shit back. No matter how hard the Canadians try, they'll never be able to defeat the green giant. Soon, the Canadian Entity will escape its boarders, and seep out to all the other lands of the world. The Yukonocolypse will devour all of man and its creations, killing all who stand in its way in horrific pinecone related bloodbaths. It will consume all and reclaim this world in the name of the mighty Tree, herald in by Yoink. Of the Yukon.
