Here we have an allosaurus vs. an elephant. Did we see that in 'Jurassic Park'? No, we didn't.
Just two latex models, but Harryhausen succeeds in making the dinosaur come across as a real nasty customer while at the same time making us feel pretty bad for the elephant.
Interestingly, the climax of the movie, which features Gwangi burning to death in a church, turns the tables and makes us feel quite sorry for the dinosaur.

I can say that there will never be another like him, but I can only hope to be wrong. The world will always need new Harryhausen's to remind of us just how much a person can achieve.
There's scenes in 'Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers' where the spaceships crash into various well known buildings. In those scenes, every falling brick is individually animated. A crazy amount of work when you think about it.
