Everyone has a favorite place, or area that they go to. Mine is Big Sur, Ca. There is no place more beautiful in my eyes than here. https://www.google.com/search?q=bigsur&safe=off&rls=com.microsoft:en-US:%7Breferrer:source%7D&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=cNWNUenaJOGqiQLhsIDQBA&ved=0CFMQsAQ&biw=1062&bih=474
There is much more than just the ocean too. The back country is unbelievable!! Mountain hiking and plunge pools.... *faints*
So tell me. Where is your most favorite place to go, where you can space out and just be yourself without worrying about tomorrow.

If you come around Audiofest time (TBD), I can introduce you to a very cool bunch of guys and we can listen to $10K stereo systems
It's a small village sitting right on the beach in a semi-circular bay with a harbour in it and a beautiful sea view on a clear day. Further inland the surroundings become a rocky craggy mountainous landscape covered with forest, nice place to explore.
And to top it all off, the village has a ruined castle tower sitting right in the middle of it.
It's a writer's dream location made real, hehe
Costs too much for the ferry fare to get there every day though. So I just relax and dream of it
Yep, I am. Living on the west coast here with a nice view of the Isle of Arran out across the water (at least on a clear day. Can't see it at all today).
I've been there myself a few times. Beautiful scenery. When it's not raining, lol.
I'm off to Chicago yet again in a couple hours, and next weekend I intend to be in Monticello IL. For a steam locomotive, of course.
A little closer to home is the Blue Licks battlefield, which was the site of one of the last battles of the Revolutionary War and, unfortunately, a disastrous rout for our team. After 200+ years, there isn't a lot there to show that it's anything other than a big, open field, though, and if you don't think too hard about its history it is a very peaceful place.
