YCH auctions get you more cash for less effort since you don't have to actually get the person paying to define much of what they want. You would only have to set up the scene and get people to bid. Others have made it so the buyer could pay a flat price for each position.

I think its a stupid system for the fact that a lot of times, I see a picture make over 200 dollars even when the picture itself as a commission is only worth possibly 100. But hey, if you can get away with making people bid on your work, you'll easily make more money than you would have made trying to sell a single commission.

One of the reasons I'm considering a flat rate, that way at least a customer knows they're getting into without speculating on the price.

The price will factor in the detail already present in the scene plus the added mystery character. Unless the fursona has an Escher drawing at their fur pattern I don't see much of a problem and the price will remain fixed.

Its not that you lose anything on your part. with how you draw, you'd easily be banking more money.

Its just certain furs are just going to dislike the lack of creativity. By this point, its the equivalent to selling out.

But who cares about that! if people are going to throw hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for a single blowjob scene, where they only get 1 character, with no background, and someone else has to get the other character, and pay another 100 dollars, basically the price of 2 commissions for a single blow job scene, then why not do it. There is only going to be gain on your end.

It's just the idea of "selling out", I don't want to cheapen myself or put off the people I have right now...

I first thought it was a cool idea. The artist showing their creative side and letting someone fill a spot. It also could be a bit of a training tool in drawing various kinds of furs. Its just when people start doing it all the time and only depend on the bid because they know they can get it.

If you're going to do it, just do it once in a long while. You can do bids if money is tight and you do need to boost yourself back up. If you stick to flats, then you wont come off as... greedy and lazy.

Its really up to you though. Whether is bids or flats, you'll just be another one in an ocean of YCH auctions. Get it while the gettin's good.

The orgy scene is also one that gets done a lot. It nets you easily the most money cause you can make the most generic background but each character is only 1 person. They would have to bid on just 1 guy out of... say 5. So if each one was only 25 dollars, you'd basically make the price of a comission. If you made it very sexy and have it be able to be bid on, youd probably get... if i had to make a guess... at least.... double for sure. Since you're a really good artist, easily could triple

Wish I was a better artist, I'd offer some YCH raffles sometime... but alas I have neither the time, motivation or skill to do that at the moment.
