So, I'm going to be attending a convention this weekend. It's called Texicon and it is a board game/tabletop/war gaming convention held in downtown Fort Worth. http://texicon.net/index.html

For the full weekend, it's $50 (cash only at the door) or $30 for a single day. It's a bit pricey for a convention, but gaming conventions are likely a bit more expensive to run than most.

I plan to be there Saturday and Sunday. This is a bit of a last minute thing for me. It sounds like it'll be a blast. I haven't been to a gaming convention in years, but I love sitting down at a table and playing a game I've never heard of before. I get to meet new people, I get to play new games, I get to have new adventures and I get to tell more stories. Many of my cherished gaming stories come from conventions.

I'm going to primarily live in the Tabletop room, but they have dozens of games of all sorts going on at all times it seems. There's a lot of fun to be had. Anyone else going?
