Why do we get adult art?

This is something that I've been trying to figure out lately. Those who watch me and know me probably know that I much prefer adult artwork vs clean. But why? What do I get out of it? To some, the obvious answer would be a nice hard on, but that's not the case, at least not for me. Bordering on TMI, I haven't fapped to at least 60% of my own gallery. So if not for the pleasure of my nethers, why do I get it?
I love to get artwork with friends, and knowing me (and most of my friends XD) that artwork would probably be adult. To me, getting art with a friend is super fun. It gives me flat out enjoyment whenever I see a new pic with my character and a friend's. But again, why? Is it a shared friend experience? Or is it just more naughty porn to look at?
Then there are solo pics / pinups which I have no small amount of in my gallery. As stated earlier, I don't usually fap to the artwork I get, but looking at good adult pic of my character, whether they are just sketches or full pictures, makes me happy. Makes ME happy, not my dick. I find that I can just look at most any pic in my gallery, and a smile comes to my face. Not a dirty, perverted, "i want to sex that" smile. But a happy, good-feeling smile. But what's the reason for this?
Nothing I've mentioned has any difference between adult art and clean art, except for the fappy nature of adult art which, to me, isn't a big part of it. So then why do I like adult art so much more than clean. It's true, for whatever odd reason. Looking at adult art of my dragon makes me noticeably happier than clean art. What is it about dicks and balls and butts and what-not that makes me happy, while at the same time (sometimes XD), not giving me a hard on.
I've done some inward searching for the answers to some of these questions, and the best I can come up with it vague feelings that are hard to translate. Perhaps making my character adult makes it seem more real, more alive, and less of a fantasy-cartoon. Maybe adding dicks to it makes it easier for me to relate to the character, placing my not only my own physical, but mental characteristics, into this character I have created.
And yet, I feel I still haven't cracked the mystery about why I like adult art so much. Is it just a fappy supply that I'm in denial about? Do I feel good about bringing this fappy supply to all my watchers and friends? Does it make me happy to share artwork with friends? Does it simply bring me joy to see my dragon with anatomically correct parts? Do these parts make it easier for me to personify my dragon or make it feel more real?

But the concept behind it being more realistic, shows you a more better feel to it. It shows you a more in depth look of your fursona. In other words, you can actually see YOURSELF in the art somewhat, rather than just a dragon character. You can see the character you created, the one thing that represents you, in a realistic (but transformed a bit into animation) sort of way.
I would prefer to get adult art because of the same reason i just explained, i want to get a realistic feel of my characters. Though mien are a bit more complicated due to my otherkin beliefs, it's still basically the same principle.

But yea, more than anything, even if I don't have that much art that's adult, I do see myself in it, more complete and natural, in my "natural habitat" if you will, when I see that it's more.. adult. It's not just the fact that my char has it's dick or is ass shown in it. It's that I see it's completely there, nothing is missing. It just feels.... Right, in a sense. I look at it, and I see myself, but in another form. I think that makes sense, right?
If I were to get an adult piece of my sona, it would most likely be because I'm showing that I really like the other person, or if it comes to it at some point, that I love them. I'm not getting the art so I can fap to it, I'm getting it to show a bonding towards someone else. Having feeling in an adult piece makes it feel much more real than if it were just for porn and to fap to. Plus, it feels nice to receive art, no matter if it's paid for or free. In a way, you're gifting yourself and your friend with that art as well, so it feels great.
I don't flap myself or doing something that is p0rn if I watch adult drawings, make me sick in real life.
Also, this is a fact: More people look at adult art. More people are going to recognize you if you have a lot of porn. Plain and simple.
Personally speaking I am getting adult art for many reasons. The most important might be the fact that I don't have an active sexual life, except my long term relationship with mr Right Hand. In a way, you could say that it's the main reason I started drawing in the past. The other is that I will get a picture only with people I like or I find hot. Irl I am nothing like Lizeron, but I do like hot bodies. Sometimes, I think I could have sex for the fun of it, but then moral issues strike.
Also, clean art is something that if I commission, I want it to be a masterpiece. That's why I commission specific people for it. I want to be able to stare at it and not get enough of it for a few hours!
Personally I don't have adult art...because:
a) I'm not a good artist at the moment, and its better to be good at art before you dive into erotic stuff...no one wants to look at MS paint porn (which litters SoFurry)
b) I just don't want to. I don't hate adult art, some of it is good, but honestly its not what I'm interested in. I think it can get repetitive and bland. It can be horrific in the case of such things like vore and such (yuck!). And honestly, I don't like how some people just slobber over it and get so worked up about it. I don't find that enjoyable at all....it makes me feel weird that there are people older than me making all these murry comments and some really bad innuendo, jokes. I feel like an utter youngster (at 19) amongst some of these people
Personally, its not me and it does get repetitive.
I'm sorry if it feels like a total killjoy, but I'm not trying to be (just had some creeper on my profile, so I'm not in a good mood at the moment)...just stating my opinion and think that some people need to really grow up and learn that--its only picture. And perhaps we need a bit more variety.
So no offence intended....hope I made that clear
