Home Con, Life, and BlowupNShowup

Hi Everyone. No particular occasion for this journal other than the fact that I should say something now and then. Anyone who know me knows I don't post much of anything unless I find it important or useful.
First off, tigerdile.com is hosting another Home con this weekend the 18th and 19th of May. Its like a Dealers Den done entirely online and through streaming. So whether you're inside or outside online, swing by the Home Con dealers den and bribe some artists. I have a costume gig this weekend but should be able to hop in later in the evening on these two days. Check out

As for me. I'm between jobs and all I can say is that the honeymoon with Microsoft is over. It's a great campus and all and a chillax environment but that's only in appearance. It is a proverbial blood bath of silently swinging blades going into each other's backs on a minute by minute basis and that's just mentioning the in-fighting between the direct employees. Vendors like I was are just used for swords, shields, and fodder to fend off blame. The fighting is so bad , they spend more time competing with each other than competing with their actual competition and thus not innovating much of anything. I got a good prospect working in a new IT Department in the Health Industry and I sure hope I get it as both of the interviews went very- maybe, too well.
Lastly, I need to touch up on
blowupnshowup as it may require some clarification to its function. Some the subject matter this group diverges into is swimming in controversy so now is a good time to get this out:
BnS is specifically a "Design Consulting Group" BUT BnS is NOT a manufacturer of anything what-so-ever.
BnS DOES design Fursuits, Infalatable/Latex Suits, and Characters Concepts
BnS DOES help others and clients design the fore-mentioned.
BnS DOES NOT physically create, construct, or manufacture the suit or end-product.
So in short, we design but we don't manufacture or construct at the physical creation level. Rather, we work at the concept level. The general idea for BnS to to be a resource where people can request a design consultation. We then sit down with the client, go over their idea for a fursuit or inflatable suit, go over any possible or proposed design alterations, and then create a 3D model of the concept. The end result is an MPEG video file of the 3D Suit Concept which can be turned using the time slider of your preferred media player to show the suit all the way around. This can then be presented by the client to their suit creator or manufacturer of choice to hopefully produce a better result for the end project as the suit constructor will have a full 3D reference.
I'm aiming to represent BnS at Further Confusion 2014 where I'll be looking for people with a suit idea they would like to have made or build themselves. I'll sit down with them and with this very laptop I'm typing with, go over it with them in 3D. If all goes well, they'll walk away with an MPEG video on their device or thumb drive they can use later for themselves or to give to the suit creator when they're ready. That it- pure and relatively simple.
With that said, I hope to see you soon at Home Con. If you'd like to request a design consultation. Head on over to
blowupnshowup and send a note or shout. Tschuss!!
