Yesterday was probably the most horrible day of the month. The previous night we received Tornado Warnings, and as native Texans we were pretty much trained to take even the slightest precautions: power down computers for power surges, get the animals in a shelter, intently look for updates and signs, etc. Luckily, we persinally didn't get any damage luckily, but north of us they got hit quite a bit by hail and strong winds.

But aboput 30-40 minutes from here, Granburry got hit hard and 6 people died. It was sad, and we were grateful that we didn't suffer any losses personally. But six hours after the tornado's cleared we got a call.

My granny passed away due to kidney failure and in all honesty I'm glad. She was at the point of misery and pain. She had to hjave constant assistance to do ANYTHING and the only horrible thing to do is deal with mourning relatives that are taking her death harder than I am.

I guess the point of this is that we may avoid death, but it will come. There will be a day that will end our lives and we will leave this world. It's not necessarily wrong to loathe this, but to deny it is foolish and only makes things worse.
