*hugs back* Thank you. There's still one possibility near Newmarket that I am going to try. However, its a 2 bedroom apartment, so I expect it might be a bit out of my price range. (Also, I really only need a one bedroom place.)

As long as I get something in the North York area of Toronto, I should be pretty happy. North York is less densly populated than downtown Toronto. Its closer to what I am used to, and what I like.

It sounds like you are looking in the right places then. I recall when I moved to Blacksburg for my graduate studies, I found all of one room available in one apartment complex out of all the places we thought looked nice. And I really enjoyed my seven years there.
