"The highest bidders will receive commissions from this artist. If, for example, an artist is offering two commissions and five people comment, the two bidders with the most money will receive art."

I rarely take part in auctions, but I will make an exception this time ;v;

Ah I couldn't get it extended so it's already over. I'm just waiting for the auction runners to tell me what's up with it.

I MIGHT be doing an additional auction soon, to go along with this one, though.
The tumbl-con auction runners are trying to hash out details about it though. xD

Jeez. Yeah there wasn't any time/date posted that I saw and assuming my bid was one of the top ones at the end, I never got contacted...

On the livejournal itself there was a new post saying it ended Sunday (and I had said in this journal it ended tomorrow, which was Sunday)
But I wasn't kept updated really on the dates, either. And when I found out I was trying to get an extension to have it go a little longer.
It was all rather NOT INFORMED. And kinda disorganized, I agree u Ou;

But like I said there MIGHT be another one. Maybe.
If there is I'll post about it and make sure I'm properly informed.

With Icee on this, I know it's a fundraiser and all. But I am a little leery with how this is playing out.

As soon as I know I'm gonna hop on getting owed paintings out. (No need to worry on my end. I won't leave someone out of money and nothing to show for it.)

Unfortunately I am simply a prize offering. I am not in the committee and have no access to the journal/am only vaguely aware of the happenings.

I agree, as someone who has run auctions before, that they're kinda.... Unorganized about it @3@;

Still no word on this? It's been over a week... I won't lie, I'm a little leery on paying these people now given how they're treating this auction... hrm. Such a pity, I was so excited to have the chance to get some art from you!

The last information I had was Sunday, asking if the winners could be given my email to discuss it out. I replied with my email but haven't gotten anything. So--if you haven't yet, check your e-mail.
Otherwise, I don't know! If I don't get anything in a couple of days, I'll contact the auction runner.
I find it really, just. flabbergasting that nothing is getting worked out yet. @_@;;

I did, in fact, shoot a question toward the runner about their status and if the winners have been contacted/pretty much WHAT is going on

I got a response but it didn't really share much in regards to what I asked
It said:
"I am very, very sorry about the lack of information. My co-head, who was in charge of this, has been extremely busy as of late. I have had to take over this for the time being. It has been difficult finding everyone's contact information and getting this all sorted out. My co-head will be back tonight to pick things up. Things should be back to normal in no time. Once again, I am would like to apologize for the inconvenience. "

I'm SO SORRY this whole ordeal has been like, less than perfect and professional. If it were up to me I would have already had all winners contacted within 24 hours of the auction ending.

Yeah... "difficult finding everyone's contact information" - when we all posted our emails in the bids we made >__> That's a pretty weak excuse for going 9 days without contacting the winners of your auction... From the other posts that have been made on the Livejournal, it honestly looks like the people running this are high school/middle school kids who have NO clue what they're doing. Which again doesn't really reinforce my confidence in giving them money... but I suppose that isn't my concern as long as you trust where they're sending it and that it'll be used for the right reasons

I believe their cause enough--this is just one committee for the whole Tumbl-Con thing (there are a handful of others for various fandoms)--and that seems like a LOT of people BSing their way through something just to rip people off.
I simply think they don't know how to properly organize what they're trying to do--like they probably answer up to someone else, and as the power ladder goes further down it just gets more and more confusing and disorganized. That's what I'm assuming anyway. @3@;;

I wanna BELIEVE the money is going toward the cause (I mean I'm not getting any of it anyway, so might as well just assume it's going the right way)
And I will at least hold up my end once it's worked out

Oh no no I didn't mean that I thought they were intentionally trying to rip people off... more so that if they are this untimely in closing their own auction that they might not be very responsible about passing the funds along either... I dunno. Just my two cents! Hopefully they'll get things sorted out so we can stop wondering what the hell is going on haha

Yeah I totally agree. I also hope things get sorted and worked out quickly. It's not cool keepin' people strung out and wondering what's happening @3@;

Gosh that REALLY blows. I'm really sorry to have gotten hopes up like that too

I had friends offering up art for other aspects so I just assumed it would go through no problem. Ugh
Unfortunately I don't quite feel right just saying pay me and work it that way. (Cause I didn't organize it, and it'd just... Feel wrong, y'know?)

BUT I think I will organize an auction myself through FA shortly. As sorta a redo for those who wanted to participate and something a little different.

IM REALLY SORRY TO HEAR THAT THOUGH. And lemme tell you this definitely has made me weary of any other fundraisers in the future unless I am waaaay more hands on and with better access to the cause and it's runners :/

Yeah I don't blame you after this... I'm just glad they didn't get to the point of taking money and then not having it used for the purpose it was collected for.... I do hope I will get another opportunity to commission you in the future though, whether via auction or not because your stuff is simply gorgeous!
