But im kinda busy as is. otherwise i would go into a complete rant as to how microsoft is moving away from hardcore gaming to TV TV TV... x.x people dont even use their tvs much anymore x.x Like to watch shows most people resort to the computer.

Also think about other nations and continents, the new xbox mostly pertains to the United States, the rest of the world wont even have access to most of the features on the new xbox. Hell my friends in Austrailia dont care about ht e TV thing... x.x

Who doesn't want hands free tv navigation and input switching? I think people are just raging over the fact that it does things OTHER than play games... it's a bit absurd. Just because you (the general you, not YOU you) maybe wouldn't use it yourself doesn't mean others wouldn't be happy to have it. And god forbid people want to use a console as an entertainment center for things OTHER than games ;A;

I think people are raging over the fact that the main focus of the reveal was about TV, not games, especially since more people are moving away from consuming media from actual television broadcasts. It doesn't even replace a cable box; all it does is act as an HDMI repeater box. Add to that the fact that the TV thing is US only, at least at first. The people presenting also came off as if they were very ingenuine and were just pandering to what they think their audience is. There's also a bunch of nonsense about charging to play second-hand games and even charging to play a game on multiple accounts on the same Xbox. It's that kind of little stuff that really turns me off.

I'm still going to reserve my full judgement on it until after E3. It should be a gaming console first, and if the focus isn't about games at E3, then I think a lot of people will be highly disappointed.

You realise there's already a tv and technology for gesture imput right?
The tv has a camera and it picks up on hand movement and what shape your hand is in. The only thing the Xbox One is adding is voice imput...
(which you can do on almost all modern phones that run on hardware that's so weak it makes the Xbox look like a super computer)
All Microsoft did was take tech that has already been invented and slap it ontop of a 360 and call it "new."

Because everyone can afford a tv that does that, right? I never said it was AMAZING tech, but it's no reason to demonize the new Xbox like people are. But ignorance is bliss

All I'm saying is that Microsoft already screwed up on windows 8 because they focused to much on media that it just doesn't even do what a computer was made to do.
The Xbox One is like taking your vegen friend to a steak house for their birthday. Sure they can still order a salad, but the main theme of the resturant is still meat and when the salad is surrounded by a bunch meat that your friend didn't even order. They probably won't be very content with the gift.
The people who put their money aside to buy game consoles, buy them for playing games.
Microsoft made the same mistake with windows 8 and the Xbox One, they focused to heavily on things people don't need and not enough on what they do.

Oh and FYI Microsoft is doing an overhaul of windows 8 because it got so many bad reviews and feedback.
Just to drive my point home.

yeahhh i'd have to say the new xbox unveiling was... pretty lame, at least the PS4 reveal showed way more games besides CoD

I'm not impressed by this Xbox Three, way too much focus on people who don't play GAMES ! crazy this is a CONSOLE they are made to be played for games, and then all the fancy stuff after !
I can understand that they want too reach out too those who might not care for a console and give them more of a reason to get the Xbox Three, but the truth is their biggest buyers are the gamers so it's bad rep too not shore more of the games side than the fancy stuff.
Next is all the hidden stuff it's 'always' ON, what !?!!!! is there no privacy anymore -cough- Kinect 2.0, Secondly has too be used ONLINE within 24hrs - so what if you went on holiday ?
Thirdly games you buy can only be used on UR account - So if ur brother/sister/etc wants to test it out on their xbox three they can't unless they use ur account, NOT LIKELY !!!!
Next is all these sport stuff i'm sorry but Europe/UK don't care for all these US SPORTS maybe FIFA but that's it, I'm sorry it's a BIG RANT but this is the case peeps they lost the plot they taken away a lot of focus away from the gamer and made it very US styled.
ONE thing is true we made them popular by shouting/ranting about xbox three !!!!!!!! But knowing xbox they will pull the stops on the games they always seem too but let's wait and see if it all turns out ok for us ?
For now PS4 seems to be focused on gamers and seem more 'friendly' ?
