Final fantasy 12 ^^ 40 hours in a little over a week xD I have been doing some plot, then spend ten hours doing marks. Gil snapper was hard T^T but discovering the secret place with farmable silicon tortoises is so worth it. They usually drop stuff worth about a 1000 Gil, and that is amazing at my.level. over 1000 XP each time.too. only problem is that it is during the rains, and I fear the electrical elementals and entites >_>" save the ret, plushie
In general, I really like the game. It did something new, and did it right. Fighting isn't just press x to win. Gotta move around and stuff, the new maps and dungeons are generally hard the first time you enter. Leveling up actually takes work. License points allow you to level up without leveling up x3

FA+

that's coming from a guy who's never really liked final fantasy though
so I can't say FINAL FANTASY STARTED SUCKING AFTER 6 SRSLY GUISE STOP like all the srs business self proclaimed true fans
I'd be saying something more along the lines of FINAL FANTASY WAS NEVER GOOD IN THE FIRST PLACE
I understand the dislike of the series in general, but after 9 they started trying new things, which I really liked about them. Ten had an innovative turn-based battle system, and a nice way of leveling they perfected in twelve with licensing alongside actual levels
gil sounds like you're collecting small fish from an ocean hehe x03
One of my FAVORITE games for the ol' PS2! I still have my copy after all this time! *hugs his game*
I do like how licenses help you get stronger, but to be honest, if you notice it or not, getting actual levels helps too. I got all the augment licenses before reaching lvl 30 and I still needed to "LEVEL UP" in order to benefit (Even if you have some of the best equipment around).
There IS a challenge you can attempt called the 122333 challenge, in whcih you have 1 level one, two level two and three level three characters throughout the entire game, but I don't see myself attempting that. (requires a Firefly for everyone as those keep you from gaining experience, and use your LP for augments and equipment).
Speaking of good games, there are many RPGs for PS2 I miss owning, like Disgaea 2 and Shining Force EXA
A friend was surprised at my characters. Vaan is my mage, penelo (****ing penelo) uses a gun, and I switch balthier to a crossbow since bolts having awesome effects, like disable owo. I like testing these new weapons, but only a few places are fun to level up in. I'm at Phon Coast right before meeting Cid, and that place is a lot of fun, as was the woods before it.
I can't see myself ever trying that either, levels are too low xD no white mages then, all x-potions and remedies.
I'm trying to play everyone in my party in a specific way (Vaan the Thief, Balthier the Chemist, Penelo the White Mage, Fran the Black Mage, Ashe the Knight, and Basch the Monk).
I love the marks so far ^^ but now all the easy ones are gone x3 I have yet to get a nihalpalaoa though, that is suppsed to make the marks easier. That plus remedy equals all the ailments it isn't immune.e to ^^
I set Basch as a Monk, cause he can take damage well and can deal unarmed damage well. I'm pretty good at doing Dedicated Roles.
Now, if only it were the international edition, which actually had job classes.
Oh well. :-P
