Hello FurAffinity

Hello all,
I am a 21-year-old college student in Virginia in the good old USA. I’m not going to tell you my real name, just in case someone I know finds this and discovers what I do in my spare time. I will tell you that I am fond of anagrams.
I'm new to FurAffinity and to the fandom in general, although I've been lurking on VCL for a while and I attended AnthroCon 2008 (long story short, my cousin's fiancee runs a gaming convention with some friends and they went to to AC to promote it and I got invited to come along; none of them are furry or are aware of my own furryness). I joined FurAffinity mainly because I got tired of clicking on the [More Info] links on VCL and being told I couldn't see it because I wasn't a member and blah blah blah.
I'm currently listed as a watcher, but I may eventually choose to post some of the short stories I've written. I'm hesitant because they're not entirely anthro and most (but not all!) of them end with the death of the main character (although I'm well aware that that is by no means a turn-off for some people). I'm also not sure how good any of them actually are; I've never shown them to anyone else, but I'm proud of the delightful wordplay in some of them. I probably won't post any of my drawings, as my skills as a visual artist are somewhat lacking and I don't have a scanner.
Despite my sometimes fatalistic oeuvre, in real life I'm a very mild-mannered person. I'm courteous, honest, and polite. I don't drink or smoke, and my only costly addictions are Mountain Dew and fuel for my gas-guzzler. I wouldn't describe myself as antisocial, but I don't know anybody I would describe as a "friend." I have never had a girlfriend, which why I describe myself as "perpetually single." In my profile, I say that I am as straight as a 1961 Lincoln, and that's true. Of course, '61 Lincolns have that little kink at the C-pillar, so make of that what you will.
I don't have many interests, but at the top of the short list is cars. I love cars of all varieties, but over the past few years I've developed a particular passion for big American cars from the '60s and '70s. My aforementioned gas-guzzler is a 30+-year-old Mercury Cougar coupe that is 1 foot longer than my parents' minivan. She has a leather interior, an 8-track player, and a massive V-8 engine.
I'm a big fan of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, and I also enjoy science fiction and Monty Python.
Well, until next time I shall remain faithfully yours,
Kinto
