As a blanket, a pillow, a tent-like cover so the teacher couldn't see that I was playing my DS to pass the time in the only detention I ever got that year, to pull the front door of the truck closed from the back seat, to clean up water spills, as a wind breaker when it's windy, as extra insulation when it's cold outside, as a scarf when it's cold AND windy outside, as identification for people who don't know me (just look for the guy with the towel), as a conversation starter, to tell the smart friendly people from the not so smart and friendly people, as an umbrella of sorts, and so many other things I can't think of right now.

Trust me, the damn thing's useful. the book is no joke. It's just whether or not you've got the cajones to carry a towel around with you that really matters. >.>
