Diaper Brands?
Ok, so I realise while the subject matter might not to be to everyone's tastes, buuuuut I have a question for all you fans of the padded crinkles...
I'll be honest. I do wear 'em. Quite rarely now, but I do. I'm just wondering what you guys favourite brands are? I'm looking to restock my stash!
Not all types are available to me, being in the UK and all, but I'd like to know what ones do it for you. :3
Basically, I'm asking for mini-reviews I guess. x3

FA+

If you are looking for non-plastic for dealing with the summer, or for more subtle wearing, Abena Delta-Forms are my favorite.
But great! I've seen the Abena's available on Amazon, so they might have to be a thing! Thanks. :3

So perhaps not.
Thanks though!

Another might be the Eurobrief if you can get the plastic backed version. They started using the cloth back style but couple places in the states still offered the original (plastic backed) style.
Third option should be the Abena M4s, again in the original plastic style.
I'll look into the Abena's too. :3
Now when i want to be really cubby, i go with the Bambino Bellisimo. Suitably cubbish tape zone, all white otherwise, thick, and will last me over 24hrs (with my normal daily routine). It what i use for road trips actually, when changing isn't convenient till reaching the destination or hotel.
Ah well, maybe one day!
Based on the comments here, Abena seem to be a popular option.
I prefer Bambinos, as they're at least up front about how much something is going to cost when you buy it, and they ship from NorCal, which I like, since I live in NorCal. The pure white Bianco is nice since I'm not into baby stuff, plus they're thick, comfortable, and hold a good amount.
Alas, the two places I usually buy from (AdultClothDiaper and KINS) are in the U.S. and Canada respectively, so I don't know where you'd turn for good shipping options. That said, I'm sure there's something equivalent on the other side of the pond :)
having said that, i hafta wear 24/7 and haz been thru a lot of diapers... what i find is, unless you are fancy prancin around in some kinda a/b outfits (nothin wrong with that) what makes the big difference is how they fit... a super duper abena the thickness of a furcoat won't hold yore pee unless it fits you, the individual furry... if you can get any kind of samples from euro companies, i'd' recommend that, would also recommend (since you are euro) the so-called "eurobriefs"

i have found these good for all-night use, the tapes are strong and they fit my medium-sized waist really snugly... don't leak for me and hold a lot of pee and poo
Bambino and Abena, in my experience, are both good - I'd choose Bambino over Abena, but it depends on your price point; abenas are slightly cheaper I think. They do both seem to have the padding inside start to fall when worn too long, however.
The last I ordered was a bunch of ABU diapers, and yes while they don't hold much they're perfectly serviceable with a stuffer in them, Unique Ultra booster pads. Bambino's website has basically the same thing as the Quadro stuffer. (If you do get these, take note to adhere the ends to the sticky adhesive side - I find that otherwise the stuffer has a tendency to break at the end if the ends aren't secure. I'd assume the same thing to happen to Bambino.) The ABUs I found, with their one tape, were easier to fit my fat ass into than some of the other brands, & that's why I chose them. That and their price compared to ordering only a few Bambinos vs a few of those...
On the Dry 24/7, I tried as sample of theirs. They were HUGE, to the point where there were no pants I could ever wear to cover these outside of the dorm; that being said, I found they performed poorly on wicking, but on the flip side they stayed true to their name. The pee didn't absorb all around through the padding and it just kind of stood there, but still when it was the point of leaking (for what it was) the inside was hardly even damp.
I don't know if they have Molicare there, but they're an alright mid-line diaper that's purple.. They're good on wicking to use up that whole back (and purple!), but they don't hold as much as the Abena or Bambino. Did I mention they're purple?
I have always wanted to try out the Tena line that they manufacture in Europe. I'm not even sure which "model" is the top-of-the-line one to look for, but the pictures I've seen make them out to be amazing - the rival of Abena.
I don't know how much it'd cost for you in the UK compared to us in the USA, but you could look into Fabines. They're supposedly god tier, obviously only something like that could be made from German engineering. They're like a cushie fused with a bambino but made better; they've got what looks like a great AB design. I'd love to wear one at some point...
Here's a video comparing them to the other German-born Abena: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2sDHYSvxGY
I'm sure I've seen Molicare available here, and purple is my favourite colour! But I haven't heard that they're amazing, just kind of ok.
As for Tena, it was thanks to this journal that I ordered some of the Slip Maxi's. :o I went for mediums with I kinda regret now as they're a bit of a stretch for me to get into. Not impossible! But at the limit of snugness, I'd say. Definitely will go for large next time!
First impressions: I thought they looked really thin and not really up to the job, HOWEVER after rigorous tests (one of which is currently still in progress ohohoho *crinkle*) I found that they swell and balloon hugely with no leaks. Fair to say I was and am impressed at their capacity! Oh, and they have purple on them, so that's nice.
I did try and find some Fabines initially, but the shipping cost more than the product so I was like "NOPE".
Thanks for your lengthy reply! Very informative. :3
I know I saw one of the websites that they might end up carrying Fabines, but I don't know whatever happened to that. I know they were on hold for more production runs, but never saw if they came back up to stock.
