Image type and characters - Type A digital color image on a Skitty being eaten by a Houndoom, ( Pokemon vs Pokemon. )

Why this image was chosen - Houndooms are one of my fave Pokemon so when I came across this image I was more than happy to do a feature on it. This image could very well happen as houndooms are known to hunt other Pokemon, snarfing a Skitty probably wouldn't be too far fetched if these guys were real. An interesting note though, as houndooms are supposed to have toxins burning in their guts the trip down might be fun but once inside it might not be that fun anymore! This image by A.A. is simple yet very attractive in its overall appearance because of the colors, the minimal background and of course the awesome looking neck bulge. The Skitty has a very worried look as it no doubt feels itself getting pulled down a hot, foul smelling throat that has an odor of decay mixed with something smelling like kerosene or gas. Normally the arms on Skitties are short. However, I like the artistic license thats been taken so that Skitty is seen pushing up on the houndoom's jaw in a feeble attempt to delay or stop themselves from being swallowed. The houndoom's tongue wrapping up over the shoulder is a nice addition to the piece as is the way the mouth is climbing up over Skittie's body. Of course the real highlight of this image for me is the neck bulge, its sexy, its nicely cell shaded so that there doesn't need to be any line art to show where it is. Houndoom looks pretty good in this picture and I like the way the eye looks relaxed, satisfied and almost unconcerned during the act. The characters are well drawn, colored, the story this picture tells could very well happen so I"m adding this picture to the group's hall of fame.
