SUCK IT SONY!

Well as many know by reading my mate's journal, our Xbox 360 died about two weeks ago.
After a lot of arguing I got Microsoft to fix it. They said the waranty expired in 2006, when we bought the console in 2007. After a lot of arguing with them, I got this sorted out, and they're going to honor the new 3 year waranty policy.
Well in our panic with the 360 we raised some money to get a replacement console, just in case. But when microsoft said they were going to honor the waranty, I decided that I'd go out and see what the pawn shops had.
A friend of mine works in one, and she said she could get me a PS3 for $225. Well I got there and checked it out, and it was only partially working. The bluray drive was dead and refused to spin or read any discs. So I managed to get them to knock down the price from $225 to $100 and included an extra controller and one game.
$50, a trip to ebay, and a week and a half later... I now have a working PS3... For a grand total of $150.
It took me all of half an hour to get the drive installed and working. And after several bouts of testing, I can now feel safe that it works. The drive is new and a little sticky.. But it works and I am a very happy fox.
So yes.. Woot to me... and SUCK IT SONY! I got a $400 (plus tax) console for $150. lol. Go me!

It also helps that unlike most people, your a tech repair certified person and knew how to change out the single busted part. =P

Yeah. It definately helps to make a happy fox. lol. I've got a few games for it now, and I'm finding it a lot of fun. I still find my 360 to have a lot of games that are better. But frankly, I like some of the PS3 exclusives
