First off, I am okay. But I was involved in a severe car accident around midnight where a driver, presumably drunk, slammed full-on into the back of my car while I was driving home from work. From what I heard, the impact pushed the rear end of my car about 20 inches forward into the passenger compartment, so that tells you how hard the impact was. I had a pretty bad cut on my head which required me to be taken to a nearby hospital for stitches; actually, they put about 5 staples in my head to close the wound. That and my left arm is still fairly sore, but aside from that and a few scrapes and bruises, I am all right and in pretty good spirits. Needless to say, I'm gonna have to make a few phone calls before I am able to return to work.
