How I create art - Part Two Posted
Hello,
I got done with part two of my the work in progress on the swamp deer.
As I mentioned before I am still working on the picture but I figure people wanted to follow along with the progress.
I posted it in my scraps directory since it seems the most appropriate.
Hope this gives people an idea of the creative process.

Personally I'm very much a mood painter, which is why I seldom offer commissions. I really have to be in the mood to paint something, which will rarely ever fit in with what someone else is in the mood to have painted! ...If that makes any sense...
For "Minotaur Goddess" I came to a realization that there is not enough female art representing females with more curves than bones showing, so, I wanted to do the best I could to show a female with generous curves as a lovely creature worthy of worship. Doodles started, mostly at random, and she just sort of drew herself. When I had a generalized shape, I realized she was saying she was bovine. This painting, more than most all my other paintings, is a sort of self expression. I'm a lady of size, and like Lunarwolf said, it's sort of my own fursona, or at least the closest I've come so far.
I hope that explains things a bit more.
I understand what you mean by painting what you are in the mood to paint. I only create my photomorphs of characters and situations that have personal meaning to me, and have turned down commission requests because I really don't want another business; I just want to have fun.
Kurst! I've been watching him for his wonderful wildlife photography, and will be using his "Bad Hair Day" coyote head in my next photomorph, with his generous permission, of course. "Rocky Mountain Surprise" is one of my all time favorite stories. It really resonates with me because I am a central Nevada rancher and own thousands of acres of land, much of which is spectacularly beautiful - including hot springs.

"Its not what you think. We were just having sex. REALLY!" is the finest story punch line I have ever read!
Being bi, I love your lusciously curved minotaur goddess. Thanks!
