Agh now I can't remember where that discussion was. It was a furry artist arguing that most other (good) artists were seriously undercharging.

But yeah I agree her prices seem fair to me, and I'd definitely want more.

Ah yes, I think I have seen that discussion, or at least one similar to it. Unfortunately it's true, a lot of good artists on FA are direly undercharging themselves, and are more or less forced to because there are so very many other artists who have very very cheap prices that the artists who should be charging more for the amazing quality they deliver can't do so because otherwise no one will buy their commissions.

I've seen Nix do things she calls sketches, for $20, and she refines and cleans them up so much that they are way more than just sketches, and they are easily in the $35-40 price range. I've told her lots and lots of times she should charge more for her artwork because she deserves it for the amazing quality she puts out. As to how fair I think her prices are? Well, I have told her I will be having her make an unbelievably huge and detailed reference sheet of my tall winged calico self, with lots of full-body shots, headshots and detail shots and the like, and it will amount up to about $300. Yes, for just the one piece of artwork, though it will have several full-body shots and such so you could say it are a dozen or so of single-character pieces all rolled into one. Am I crazy for doing that? Maybe. But Nix is worth it, most definitely =~.^=

Your talent is very good, so are your prices. If it was a job job, and I was going to a dedicated website or store front. Then I could reasonably see you charging an additional 50% or so. On fa thought your prices are perfect. Not cheap, but not priced too high either.
