Hey everyone. I've been thinking about getting Animal Crossing New Leaf for 3DS. Thing is, I've never played animal crossing before. The internet seems to like it, but I'm hearing mixed reviews as well. So... I guess what I'm trying to ask is:

1. What is the core gameplay about? Not story. Gameplay. I know the story. that's easy enough to grasp. What I'm still not 100% sure on is the gameplay. Is it something that has a LOT of content, or am I going to get through a basic storyline of "yey you bought your house" and then the rest is just kind of meaningless collecting, or does the collecting mean something in the end?
2. Is there an option to play as a mii? I personally dont really like the look of the people on the box...
3.I guess, just, in your opinion, how fun is it? like, strip away gameplay, story, extra features, multiplayer, etc. How FUN is this game/series? On a scale of 1-100 let's say.
