Well... damn.

So I had a job interview Monday. I was nervous and not sure what to expect, but I think it went rather well. The guy interviewing me seemed pleased enough, and he told me they'd be making their decisions by the next day.
Tuesday I got a phone call and they told me they were moving forward with other candidates. So... I didn't get the job.
I'm disappointed, naturally -- it would have been an excellent way to gain experience *and* get to see the special events Reno has that I never get to go to because they cost too much. But considering I made it as far as an interview, and they had the courtesy to call and let me know outright I didn't get it as opposed to just leaving me wondering, it's not too bad. I did everything I possibly could and I did it all right, so I can only assume it just wasn't meant to happen. Only problem is I'm not sure where to look at this point. I've gotten some leads from some of the local furs, however, so I'll be looking into those. They might even pay better than what REMSA was offering. And if all else fails... well, I could probably get a job at Best Buy or something. >.=.>
Blah.
In the meantime I've decided to take up hiking in the hills around my neighborhood as a way of keeping my fitness up. Had a good approximately 4 mile hike yesterday -- lots of fun, legs are worn out, and once I got out of view of the neighborhood it felt like I was literally in the middle of nowhere. The Nevada wasteland is so lovely~ Like seriously, look at these.

They would be higher-resolution had my phone's camera not had its resolution changed to 640x480 somehow >:C Not sure why that happened as I never mess with that setting.
Oh, and the Starfucker/Wampire concert is coming up in less than a week now. I'm excited :3

Honestly, though, once you get your GED, I'd recommend REMSA's program if you're gonna be going into that. That class was AMAZING and everyone there is so good at what they do. It's cheaper than TMCC's, as well, as far as I know, plus you're actually learning from people who work on the ambulances on a day-to-day basis. I really look forward to my EMT-I course since my EMT-Basic instructor is teaching that now and she was kickass.
