Good god, Dark Souls was gaming's saving grace. Everyone's so hellbent on graphics and technology (Satisfying fan bases doesn't help either) that they've forgotten what gamers really want. Personally, I want substance. I want to drop the remote controller satisfied with a superior story (Lookin' at you Amnesia) or I want to play the game over and over again because it's just that amazing (I'm lookin' at you, mega man).
I mean, shit. Is it any wonder why there hasn't been a good game for a long while? PS1 had great graphics potential for its time, but Castlevania: Symphony of the Night kicked assin the markets. XBox 360 has superior graphics, but Dust is one of my favorite games for the system AND it didn't do too shabby, especially considering that it was an indie game made by just a few hands..
