Can you tell me about them, i want to have one mainly for the monthly fee of Flipnote gallery: World and also purchase eShop games and apps.
But my parents always said the same thing since i was little "They only trick you and steal your money"
But now that my 20s started, i want to have one.

And if you don't pay it off within a certain time frame, they start adding charges to the cards in the form of "interest".
So if you have a card with a 15% interest rate, and you spend $100 a month, you'd need to pay $100 or you'd be owed $115.
The interest can rack up pretty quickly if you're not careful. Case in point: i've used my debit card for purchases online a WHOLE lot, and if i had done it on a credit card, i'd still have my savings account, but i'd likely owe more money than i'm worth!
it's best to use a credit card for small purchases that you know you can cover and pay off without any worry. Some people use credit cards for the purchase of gasoline, or food. Credit cards ARE a necessary evil - and they are evil, seeing as credit card companies stay in business because people don't pay their debts until it's too late - but if you can manage it right and play it smart, you can not only get out of this without losing a ton of money, but you can also gain credit needed to get an auto loan or a house in the future, should you ever need to.
But just be VERY careful! Just as it can give you good credit through usage, a credit card can also give you bad credit that would bar you from ever getting such things as the ability to buy a car or a house without a loan...and if you can't manage to save up $20,000 for a new car or $300,000+ for a house, then that would likely mean you'd never be able to get either. and even if you think you may not want it now, don't rule out the option for yourself. that is a door you don't want to close.
best advice i can give you: a credit card is not free money. you need money to buy things, and a credit card never spends your money. if you don't have the money to buy things yourself, you probably shouldn't get a credit card for that purpose!
