Furry Fiesta 2014 - February 21-23
I am happy to announce that planning for Furry Fiesta 2014 is well under way. The theme will be Heroes and Villains. Our sixth year, TFF will be held in the Intercontinental Dallas. This is a new hotel for us and, though we will miss the Crowne Plaza, we simply outgrew it and this new hotel has a much larger space. . We're excited about the possibilities the new hotel is offering us and we hope you all fall in love with it too. We are hard at work trying to make 2014 the best Furry Fiesta yet. Last year, we had 1492 attendees, which is incredible for a fifth year con.
Our website, www.furryfiesta.org should be updated for our new year today. If you are curious, the wonderful banner art on the website comes from
Keglunek, a wonderful artist who deserves your attention and love. Registration should be up in a next few weeks.
As for the hotel, the room block is now open. Regular rooms at our rate will be $99 a night for either two queens or one king. You can use the link below to reserve online, using the code FUR to get the correct rate. We're still working with them to get a special rate for Suites. If you prefer to reserve over the phone, mention that you are with Furry Fiesta 2014 to get the room rate.

The hotel itself has a number of great features, such as a coffee shop in the lobby that serves Starbucks. The hotel restaurant is quite good for food though a bit pricy. Friday nights they generally have $20 all you can eat Prime Rib (and other stuff that I didn't notice), though we still need to confirm whether that particular deal will be offered during the convention.
The hotel had originally been built to be a casino when it was looking likely that Texas would legalize gambling, so the place still has that grandeur expected of an upscale casino.
I hope you all consider attending this next Furry Fiesta. We are hoping that it is our best year ever and we hope everyone has an amazing con. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to ask me directly, or post on the Furry Fiesta forums at https://forum.furryfiesta.org/

I mean, I certainly registered at the end of the 2013 FF for the 2014 FF, but no guarantees until I am actually on site after having had to face the blizzard blowing through on my drive in this last time, why risk worse weather or luck or anything?
Glad to hear things are working out so far with the new place.
