--PROBLEMS WITH IRL FURRIES--
So, it's the big dream of pretty much every fur I know to be their fursona in the real world, to have the fur and ears and tail and all that jazz. Well that's fine and dandy, but have you ever considered the downsides of said change? I DID 8B
1 - Heat
What happens when little critters start to go into heat or rut? You either have to lock said fuzzle in their room with much lube and toys until it passes, or risk the scent causing violence and surprise sex wherever they may go. Class, work, church if they happen to be religious...
2 - Reproduction
So, you're now a fox or wolf or lizard or whatever. Awesome. You live out your life, enjoy your new body, and eventually grow old and die. If you didn't happen to have offspring during your life, the global population goes down a bit. Now then, if biology keeps a more or less firm grasp on the situation, the various species will only be fertile with their own kind. That bodes ill for all the unique or rare species out there, who will most likely vanish after a single generation (the foxes and rabbits will be fine. bastards.)
If biology gives way to whatever weird events caused the transformation, then everyone can reproduce with everyone. Hybrids are the inevitable result, and several generations down the road the global situation will likely return to the way it is today, with various hybrid species replacing the races and ethnic groups of today.
3 - Predators/Prey
This is a rather serious issue. Carnivore furries will want to eat meat, Herbivore furries will be content with leafage. No matter what form of government manages to take control, if any, the predators will do what their species is designed for.
4 - Feral/Anthro
If the humans poof to furries, what would be the effect on our relationship with 'true' animals? Would we suddenly treat them as equals, steak dinners becoming horrible crimes? Or would they remain the same, except for the inevitable increase in beastiality? And don't say that won't happen. If you and your dog have the same face and fur, there will definitely be more attraction. And what if a feral and an anthro do the nasty, and they're actually fertile together? Now THAT would be something.
So, any comments? Any major issues I missed?

If that happened, I'd want to be the human left.
1. We would be half-human. So maybe the "heat" thing wouldnt be as controlling of our bodies as it does on animals. Even animals can say no, if the male is a piece of shit.
2. I can only agree.
3. Im guessing carnivores will eat steak, herbivores will eat salad and omnivores wont care what they put in their mouth. As for eating other furries, Id think that would still be treated as cannibalism. (or vore if youre into that stuff >_>)
4. No, I wouldnt see the "true animals" as equals, even if I were to be anthro animal. And really >_> if people feel attraction to animals, being furry or not wouldnt mean much difference. Sick bastards e_e
But hey... >_> Im already an orc IRL so wouldnt change me much xD
1.) More than likely, the heat/rut issue wouldn't be too much of one, just maybe a mere distraction
2.) Considering that each species would be ANTHRO, more than likely, there can be interspecies breeding
3.) More than likely, nothing would change from what the human race is doing right now, as far as eating
4.) Again, more than likely, no change.
