As you may or not know, I currently work at Busch Gardens in the Zoological department. Though it may be fun to work there, it certainly won't pay the bills when I decide to move on my own. That is why for the past two months, I have been searching for a new job, one that is full time and pays in the double digits/hour. The market has been tough as there aren't a whole lot of openings in my field. I thought I had a break when I saw an opening for the Virginia Zoo. i have all the qualifications for it and I expect not many people would have applied to it given the uniqueness of the job. Well after a month of waiting around I finally got an response from them (they usually take a long time to respond) and unfortunately I did not get the position. I felt pretty crushed when I read it. I have not given up hope and will continue to search for something better.

I hope I can get into the National Zoo. I see they have an opening...
