You can play Watch_Dogs and AC4 w/o an internet connection on PS4. Just saying...

i read somewhere that ubisoft might till require you to activate your games via their service, not sure if true or not. but i didnt see that many ps4 single player games shown. which is what brought up this journal.

On the PS4, that's literally not possible. They might request that you register on Uplay, but the game will still run without it.

As for the Multiplayer features, you will almost definitely run into problems without connecting onto a publishers servers.

Because Knack and Infamous: Second Son aren't Single Player at all. Eeeeeeeeeeyup.

yeah but compared those two to the insane amount of multiplayer games they are pushing for the consoles, no sense in having a ps4 for 400bucks and only being to play a handful of games cause someone dosnt have internet access at home.

I could easily extend that logic by saying that it makes no sense to spend 500 bucks on a X1 and never be able to play any games without internet access as home.

I play on PC mostly.

I'm also a complete recluse who for the most part plays single player games with heavy emphasis on story. Even though I have a good internet connection, I like to be able to take these games places where I don't have a good internet connection sometimes so I can continue to be a recluse.

I don't play multiplayer games that often. So, why would I buy a console that requires an internet connection? I can play Fallout 3, GTA IV, Saints row, Borderlands 2, all single player, while having a lot of fun with them without an online connection already. And in the future I'll continue to be able to play without a connection. Why would I pay 500$ for a console that can't even play offline? Especially if it's just a PC?

I'd rather spend the money on famicom/PCengine games

meh, well this is just my opininion, im getting a xbox one cause it has moer games i wanna play then ps4, and i can afford that then a new computer.

The xbox one basically is a new computer. 500$ these days can get you a fairly nice computer if you shop around. My current rig I've probably sunk in 1500 for so far since I bought it in 2010.

Trouble is finding the best time to buy new cards and CPUs and whatnot. It's lasted me over half a console gen, and it shows no signs of stopping. I may need to upgrade the card eventually, but my CPU basically future proof.

In the end though isn't that what matters? That it has more games you want? It's all personal preference.
