Darn. Not that I got to spend any time with you there last year, anyway, but still...

I actually wasn't going to be able to go myself this year, but when we saw that one of the guests this year is my favorite author, a very good friend of mine decided to be exceedingly generous.

I have $0.58 to my name until I get a job or get into school and get money back from my loans. :( There's no shot.

Yeah, like I said, a very good friend of mine was REALLY generous, probably in part because we're both huge Mercedes Lackey fans. He's paying for Supersponsor reg for him, his mate, my mate, and me, a hotel room for the four of us, probably a good chunk of the food...Basically, all I'll have to cover is the gas to drive there, some food, and whatever little bit of swag I may want. Frankly, even that's a bit of a stretch this year, but it's so worth it.

So yeah, I'm super thankful and super lucky, and I know how it is not to be able to go. I was all prepared and relatively alright with not being able to go this year. Then they finally made the guest announcements and I was super bummed at not being able to go. Still amazed that this friend is doing all of this for us.
