At least tell some scientists before you do, such an event would make a far more exciting experiment than the Large Hadron Collider.

It's really a shame that a cheap magical shield (which can only be broken by magic!) from a novice spellcaster would stop Superman fully. But yeah, a punch which you could not see coming is a sure death-blow.
